Abstract:
We prototyped a high-tech garbage collection system which incentivises people to throw waste in it by giving them free mobile recharge.
Idea generation, prototype building, trouble-shooting (espcially technical problems) and business model development were done at Openfuel Launchpad 2014, SV-NIT, Surat.
Government officials can use this smartly to keep the city or particular area clean. This can be very useful for Railways and Below Poverty Line (BPL) areas on which people tend to throw waste on the roadside.
